The art of Photography - Images of London and the London Exhibition at Somerset House

Modern or historic, old or new, photographer Richard Bryant interprets though his camera space, light and form. The art of Richard Bryant's photography is clearly illustrated in his limited edition, deluxe book, London, with a forward by Peter Ackroyd and published by the New York arts publisher Rizzoli. Oversized, extra large and authenticated high quality photographic prints made from images in the book were displayed in an exhibition in London's Somerset House and sold to international collectors of art and photography. Each piece bearing a signed letter of authentication.
The exhibition photographs capture the ambience of London's cityscape, from the atmospheric photos of the River Thames estuary and bridges and to the east of the city to the historic buildings of Kew Gardens. His travel imagery captures the more unusual views of London. Although Richard Bryant has gained recognition as a professional photographer of modern and contemporary architecture and design, he also photographs many famous historic buildings and landmarks around the world, specialising in exceptionally high quality photography.

Awards and prizes for Architectural Photography

Richard Bryant has been given numerous photographic awards and prizes, including Britain's top designer and advertising accolade the D & AD yellow pencils. Richard has an Honorary Fellowship of the Royal Institute of British Architects ( Hon. FRIBA ) and an Honorary Doctorate in Design from Kingston University. He has exhibited in his own right at the Venice Biennale in Italy.

Richard is a member of UK's The Architecture Club and was a committee member for the 2010 Festival of Architecture event 50 years of London Architecture. The exhibition is planned to travel to other European cities.
